Final Logo Project

Rod's Logo Draft

Moved the weight higher to line up with text. Made the lines red and not black to make it pop out. Took out the grey background to make it look more of a logo vs a poster. Furthermore, their is a dumbbell placed right on the corner of the acronym of my logo. This design relates directly to my course theme because it symbolizes the tone, and main idea behind what I am going after. My logo draws inspiration from small locally owned gyms around where I grew up. To give me more of an idea of what I was looking to create, I researched gyms all around the area from which I lived in. I feel that the most significant of the elements in my design would have to be the lighting bolts because of how aggressive it is. I used those lightning bolts to grab the attention of the viewer. I began with using the paint bucket tool to create a gray background. Then I created the lightning bulbs next by using the paint brush tool. After creating the lightning bulbs I placed a white circle in the center to include the name of my gym and a small representation of the dumbbell. I then used the paint bucket tool again to paint the lightning bolts yellow. I adjusted the stroke to a bigger number to outline the lightning bulbs, and I created the dumbbell starting with the rounded rectangle tool. I made three different sized rectangles to near an actual dumbbell. Then I copied the green triangles to the side, and connected them using a red tool to make a heart line. I decided to make the font of the name of the gym so that it would stand out and be clear to the viewer. With the final revisions complete, I am confident that my final draft is at its peak.
